Katamaran Training
Benno
ARRR! Katamarane be boastin’ two hulls, connected by a structure, makin’ ’em offer vastly more space than single-hull vessels on th’ same length, I tells ye!

But avast, these vessels be much wider and sport two engines, one in each hull, which means they be maneuvered much different, says I! This fact takes us to Pomer, where JoJo offers a weeklong katamaran trainin’. The trainin’ be split in two parts: three days o’ maneuverin’ trainin’ in and ‘round th’ port, and then a three-day sail out at sea. As always, someone has to keep an eye on th’ dog, so we decided that I’d take th’ maneuverin’ trainin’ and Alex gets th’ more pleasurable second part, by Davy Jones’ locker!

We spend three days practicin’ dockin’ and undockin’ in all manner o’ condition. There be six of us in th’ crew, plus th’ sailin’ instructor Lukas, and we’ve caught some foul weather. Th’ strong winds be actually a blessin’ in disguise, as it lets us practice at th’ edge without fearin’ for our own vessel’s safety. The rain, however, didn’t need to join th’ party, says I!
Th’ funny thing ‘bout th’ katamaran be that ye don’t need th’ steerin’ wheel at all: with th’ two engines, ye can navigate th’ blasted thing like a tank and, fer example, turn on a doubloon! Less amusing be th’ high structure makin’ these cubes quite susceptible to th’ wind, and if ye be n’t paying attention, it’ll catch ye unawares and th’ engines might not be strong enough to salvage th’ maneuver. But that be what fenders be fer, SHIVER ME TIMBERS!
Lukas does a superb job, and by th’ third day, we all more or less got th’ hang o’ it, and I be exhausted. But ’twas absolutely necessary, I canna fathom any charterer who lets such boats out without additional trainin’. And as always: JoJo handles it brilliantly, on me honour as a pirate!

Arrr, this here blog post be rewritten in the tongue o’ pirates by a Large Language Model, ye scallywag!
