We’re spending the summer at home. It’s too hot and also too expensive in the high season. We sold our house in Zurich so that we could even afford this whole thing here. With part of the proceeds, we bought a small apartment in Oberägeri, because it is beautiful up here in the foothills of the Alps.

After almost 4 months, ten countries, and thousands of kilometers, we are home again. Just in time for the start of the summer holidays.

We’ve both been to Hungary quite a few times. I had a development team at Siemens in Budapest, and Alex has distant relatives in Hungary.

Our next country on the way home is Romania. A country with a rather questionable reputation. I’m curious to see what has changed since my last visit.

Bulgarians are different, different from Greeks. Bulgaria seems like a rougher place when it comes to social interactions.

After almost a month, it is time to say goodbye to Greece. We are in love and we will be back.

From Lefkada we drive across Greece, which is much bigger than I had imagined.

We spent the last 10 days on the Greek island of Lefkada, where the sea shines in the most beautiful turquoise.

Like most dog people, we also think our dog is the most beautiful and sweetest in the world.

After almost exactly two months in Croatia, we are saying goodbye today to continue on toward Greece.
